Love – Forever Changes (Rhino)
Rhino’s new two-disk expanded reissue cannot be recommended highly enough. What makes the album all the more remarkable is that Arthur Lee was all of 22 when he created his masterwork.

Hi Jesse!
Great to hear we have some crossover interests. The Blonde Redhead record is extremely impressive, despite lagging a bit near the end.
As for the double-disk Forever Changes, I would say yes if you are at least a fairly serious Love fan. If you are anything less than that then the less expensive single disk release should do the trick.
