I think about music, listen to it, seek it out and spend money on it constantly. It’s everything to me in a way that’s likely unhealthy but makes me happy as little else does.

There’s a lot of music out there that for whatever reason is unknown, unappreciated, and underrated, and I hope we eventually get to hear it all.
Music was my myth. I was using music to fill the void that I had felt for as long as I could remember, yet I still felt empty.
I thought that taking my music to ‘market’ would somehow destroy the freedom of expression I found by playing it in more informal settings. I was out there in the park busking more to meet girls than to make money.

It’s primarily a physical thing. That’s what turns me on most about music. It’s the physical response music catalyzes that radiates past our conscious cortex, straight to our core, without being rationalized, dissected or disseminated.

This may sound strange—personal musical histories take many factors into consideration like time, place, exposure, etc—so for me, the album that changed the way I listen to music was U2’s Achtung Baby. Let me explain:
